Gordon Billy Caudill, 76, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born, September 15, 1940, in Glen Daniel, West Virginia, the son of Gladstone and Reva (Mowell) Caudill. He departed this life, Sunday, July 16, 2017, at the Groves Care Center, Independence, Missouri.
On June 13, 1964, he was united in marriage to Betty Cole in Miami, Oklahoma. Throughout their 15 years of marriage and many years of friendship he always referred to her as the “bride of his youth”.
Bill attended high school in Eccles, West Virginia. He left school early joining the U.S. Navy and was proud of his time and travels in the service.
He had been employed as a Realtor and Car Salesman.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one great grandson Calvin Long; one brother, Henry; and one sister, Sue.
He is survived by two sons, Max (and Amy) Rumfelt, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Gash (and Sara) Caudill of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Amber (and Steve) Meeker of St. Charles, Missouri; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty and Mary Ruth; other relatives and friends.
Cremation has been accorded.
Visitation was held with memorial services on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and the V.F.W. Post #3118 Honor Guard.
