Harold Charles Bruce, of Creighton, Missouri, was born on June 12, 1921 in Russell, Minnesota the son of Milett Arthur and Clara Agnus (Heebner) Bruce. He departed this life Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 8 days.
On April 27, 1948, Harold was united in marriage to Eileen Agnes Shourds in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Harold was employed in the personnel and security department for the Department of Energy in several places all over the United States until his retirement in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Am. Vets. and the Creighton Lions Club for many years. Harold loved to spend time outdoors especially to hunt, fish and also loved to tinker with cars. He had lived in Kansas City before moving to Creighton in 1980.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife Eileen Bruce of the home; a son, Douglas Allan Bruce and wife, Connie, Twin Lakes, Colorado; Jillane Marie Boser and husband Arlen, Minot, North Dakota; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. No services scheduled.
