Henrietta Margaretha Turner

Henrietta Margaretha Loewenstein Turner of Harrisonville, MO was born October 5, 1926, to Johann Ernest Loewenstein and Martha Henrietta (Huber) Loewenstein. She departed this life on September 12, 2024, at Crown Care Center surrounded by her family at the age of 97 years, 11 months.

On June 17, 1945, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Turner. Henrietta was an employee of the GSA and retired after many years of service. She and Donald traveled the world while he was serving in the United States Air Force eventually retiring on the family farm outside Harrisonville.

Henrietta was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Harrisonville. She also served for many years at VFW Post 4409 Auxiliary, Harrisonville. She enjoyed gardening, baseball, football, and loved the Senior Citizen dances that she attended faithfully every night she could. After her retirement she enjoyed many travels worldwide.

She is survived by her two sons, Donald Ray Turner II and Joy Dorgan of Garden City, Terry Wayne (Shirley) Turner of Harrisonville. Her brother, Jack Loewenstein of Leavenworth, KS., two grandchildren, Daniel (Megan) Turner, Creighton, and Erin (Michael) Doll of Peculiar, MO. She also leaves behind three great granddaughters, Bailee Turner, Creighton, MO, Ella Turner, Creighton, MO and Jordan Doll of Peculiar, MO as well as many nieces, nephews, and many close family friends.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years and two brothers, Ernest Loewenstein and George Loewenstein.

Visitation will be held 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. 

Funeral Service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. 

Graveside Service will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. 

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and may be sent in care to Dickey Funeral Home, P. O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri, 64701.
