Herbert V. Beatty, Jr, 88, Garden City, MO, passed on January 16, 2015. Herb served in the US Navy during WWII in the Philippines. A proud member of the UFCW (meat cutters) union for 30+ years.
Preceded in death by his loving wife Charlene Beatty, daughter Sandra Hosterman, son Gregory Beatty, sister Ruth Keen (Harold), and brothers Richard P (Ella) and Charlie (Mary) Beatty.
Survivors include son Herbert V. III (Ellen), daughter Pamela Taylor (Robert), sister Anna Marie Bowlen (Vince), seven grand-children, fourteen great grand-children and two great great grand-children.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Longview Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Final arrangements entrusted to Cass County Cremation Service.
