Mrs. Inez Grace Biven of Garden City, Missouri was born December 30, 1915 in Bolivar, Missouri the daughter of Dennis and Pearl (Pickin) Jones. She departed this life on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at her home in Garden City at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 15 days.
On August 12, 1933, Inez was united in marriage to Herman Edgar Biven in Bolivar, Missouri.
Inez was a seamstress for 33 years at the Garden City Garment Factory until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling with her friends on the Oats Bus, quilting, crafts, spending weekends with her family and her grandchildren. Inez had lived in Kenneth and Stanley, Kansas before moving to Garden City in 1948.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman on June 28, 1996; a great-granddaughter, Crystal; a brother Lolan and two sisters, Veda and Maude.
She is survived by two sons, Jones E. Biven and wife, Doris, Willis L. Biven and wife, Barbara all of Greenwood, Missouri; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial at the Garden City Cemetery.
