Inez Irene Glaze

Mrs. Inez Irene Glaze, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born December 1, 1923 in Merriman, Nebraska the daughter of Floyd Hall and Gladys Ethel (Moore) Goucher. She departed this life Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 1 day.
On March 30, 1975, Inez was united in marriage to James Richard Glaze in Boise, Idaho.
Inez was employed as a manager for Mayer Storage in American Canyon, California. She was a member of the VFW Women?s Auxiliary and the Abiding Love Baptist Church, Harrisonville. Inez enjoyed bowling, playing cards, antiquing, going to flea markets and collecting Disney Character glasses. She loved quilting and had made many beautiful quilts. She had lived in California before moving to Harrisonville in 1991.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jody and Gary McLay; a daughter, Gwen Yeager; two brother and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, James Glaze of the home; two sons, Richard Edwin McLay and wife Barbara, Brentwood, California, William Evan McLay, Harrisonville, Missouri; three daughters, Barb Elliott and fiancé Jim Staley, Olathe, Kansas; Sandra Shadden and significant other, David Dillon, Arma, Kansas, Deborah Wilson and husband Gerald, Edwardsville, Kansas; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lyman Goucher, Imnaha, Oregon; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A private family inurnment was held in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri. Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Twin Lakes Hospice. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
A Celebration Of Life services were held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Abiding Love Baptist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
