James Arthur Atwood of Kansas City, Missouri was born August 26, 1962 in Los Angeles, California the son of Arthur Eugene Atwood and Patsy Darlene (Pottier) Egersett. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at his home at the age of 48 years, 10 months and 10 days.
James was a former maintenance manager for apartment complexes. He was a caring person enjoying his children and grandchildren. James enjoyed music and had lived in Harrisonville before moving to Kansas City in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Abe Egersett.
James is survived by his son, Danny; his four daughters, Jessica, Ashley, Jennifer and Atlanta; five grandchildren; his mother Patsy Egersett, Harrisonville, Missouri; his father and step-mother, Gene and Ruby Atwood, Forsyth, Missouri; two brothers, Richard and Terry; a sister, Vickie; other relatives and a host of friends.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation.
