It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janet Leta Beckham (Pence) of Harrisonville, Missouri, who left us peacefully on February 8th, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on December 10th, 1939 in Madison, Nebraska. Janet was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Janet dedicated her life to serving others, working as a waitress for many years, where her warm smile and attentive care made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. In addition to her years in the service industry, she worked as a consultant for Home Interior, a job that allowed her to pursue her true passion for decorating. Janet was known for her beautiful taste and keen eye for detail, transforming spaces with her personal touch.
Her love for family was unparalleled. She took great joy in hosting family gatherings, creating memories that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will cherish forever. Janet's home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness. She found passion in hand writing greeting cards to family and friends. She was a proud member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Raymore, Missouri.
Janet is survived by her Children- Janelle and Mark Arney, Janeane Pence, Jamie and Lan Pence, Jerrett and Patty Pence, Jadd and Jamie Pence, Jenae and Joe Ham; Grand Children- Amber and TJ Young, Marie Bedwell, Tracy and Mike Nimmo, Elesha and Travis Bramble, Anthony and Theresa Andrews, Remington Pence, Emma and Ron Danahy, Vega Pence, Chandler Ham, Tanis and Jordan Ramey; seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren and all of whom were deeply loved by her. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who were lucky enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, three husbands, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the friends that were made at Butler Medicalodge for the care and love they gave to our mother. Also, thank you to the hospice nurses.
A visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm Monday, February 17th, 2025 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, February 17th, 2025 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
