Janice D. Mainard

Janice Darlene Mainard of Harrisonville, Missouri was born July 31, 1938 in Newton, Kansas the daughter of Maurice William and Eunice Marie (Holdeman) Cummings. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 22 days.
On June 30, 1955, Janice was untied in marriage to Sidney Dennis Mainard in Kansas City, Missouri.
Janice was a homemaker. Earlier she was employed at Forum Cafeteria in Kansas City, Missouri, ABC Nursing Home and Durham Bus Company all in Harrisonville. She was a member of Antioch Southern Baptist Church, Harrisonville and had lived in Garden City, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 1986. Janice was a great cook and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, canning and freezing the vegetables out of Sidney's large garden each year.
Besides her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Mainard; a grandson, Aaron Boney and three brothers, Richard, Lloyd and Donald Cummings.
Janice is survived by her husband, Sidney Mainard of the home; two sons, Tim Mainard (Francie) Harrisonville, Missouri; Mark Mainard (Candy) Raymore, Missouri; three daughters, Dolores Boney, Grandview, Missouri, Yvonne Beasley, Harrisonville, Missouri, Jacqueline Laurila, Rogers, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services were Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri
