Jean Carol Franse of Memphis, Tennessee was born July 2, 1948 in Jackson County, Missouri the daughter of Elmer R. and Shirley E. (Hancox) Loucks. She departed this life on Monday, July 8, 2013 at her home in Memphis at the age of 65 years and 6 days.
On January 8, 1980, Jean was united in marriage to Daryl Lee Franse in Peculiar, Missouri.
Jean was employed at Sharp Electronics in Memphis, Tennessee and later as a stocker for K-Mart. She was of the Methodist faith. Jean enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, shopping and crocheting. She had lived in Peculiar, Missouri before moving to Memphis, Tennessee in 1987. Jean was a simple woman who loved her family.
Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Loucks.
Jean is survived by her husband, Daryl L. Franse of the home; a son, Carey Neel and a step-son, Jeffrey Franse both of Memphis, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Brytne and Danyelle, a nephew, James Loucks of Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
