Jeffery Lynn Harness

Jeffery Lynn Harness passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 in Harrisonville, MO. after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born on December 20, 1959 in Kansas City to Marvin & Julie Harness. He worked for many years in his father’s insulation business and as a short order cook. He also enjoyed lending his time at Heart-n-Hand and Free Hot Soup. Jeff enjoyed fishing, listening to his favorite 70’s and 80’s rock bands, as well as sharing Rolo’s with his favorite four legged buddy, Ryder. He always had a smile and a hug for everyone and loved to sit and visit over a coffee or a Pepsi. Jeff was preceded in death by father Marvin, daughter Jennifer, and son Trevor Harness, as well as by sister Cindi Nelson. Jeff is survived by his mother Julie Harness Linnane (Paul) Grandview, MO, son Jeffery (Sarah-Chase-Kadence) Belton, MO, grandson Trevor Harness Jr, brother Kevin Harness (Sharon) McMinville, TN, brother Marvin Harness II (Rosie) Laurie, MO, sister Beth Cornell (Mike) Raymore, MO, sister Amy Semler (Brian) Harrisonville, MO, his best friend and helper, Carolyn Kirkham, brother-in-law Jack Nelson II Belton, MO, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to go to Free Hot Soup, Heart-n-Hand, or any shelter of your choice.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
