JERRY L. "AJ" MAYFIELD
Jerry Lee "AJ" Mayfield of Harrisonville, Missouri was born November 15, 1949 in Webb City, Missouri the son of Perry Lee and Joyce Hope (Gibbons) Mayfield. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center, Pleasant Hill, Missouri at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 11 days.
On December 7, 1996 Jerry was united in marriage to Karen Sue Evans in Freeman, Missouri.
AJ was employed as a truck driver for Butler Transport, Company, Kansas City, Missouri and earlier for MT Farms, Brookline, Missouri before his retirement in 2007. He was a member of the Oronogo Baptist Church, Percel, Missouri. AJ enjoyed his dog, Conner, the outdoors and fishing. He was an avid Chief and Wildcat fan. AJ liked to visit with people and tease the local neighborhood children and had lived in Carthage, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 1992.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
AJ is survived by his wife, Karen S. Mayfield of the home; his brother, Mark Mayfield and wife, Cindy, Carthage, Missouri; his sister, Linda Mayfield, Alba, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
