Jimmie "Jim" Dean Burris

Jimmie (Jim) Dean Burris was born September 4, 1956 in Clinton, Missouri to Marvin K. Burris and Bernice C. (Brown) Burris.  He passed April 17, 2024.  He passed away peacefully at his home in Harrisonville Missouri with his loving wife of 16 years by his side.  Jim graduated from Sherwood high school in 1974.  Most of Jim’s life was spent building and fixing houses in the Cass County area.  He was a carpenter by trade.  He worked at New Castle Homes (Three Stones) as a plumber.  He worked there until he got sick.  When Jim wasn’t working you could find him working in his yard or garden.   People would drive by and stop and tell him what a beautiful yard and garden he had.  If he wasn’t working in the yard, he’d be on the bank of the river fishing or the lake, he loved fishing.  

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin K. Burris and Bernice C. (Brown) Burris.

Jim is survived by his wife Tori Burris, brother Melvin Burris, sister Michelle Maxon, his children, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
