Mrs. June Nadine Limpus, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born Thursday, June 7, 1917 near Austin, Missouri the daughter of William David and Clara Ethel (Wilt) Mullen. She departed this life Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 23 days.
On, October 21, 1939, June was united in marriage to H. Denzel Limpus in Butler, Missouri.
June was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Harrisonville and a volunteer for the Cass Medical Center Auxiliary since January of 1990. June received the CMC Foundation Award on June 5, 2005. She was a graduate of Archie High School. She had lived in Archie, Harrisonville, Clinton, Springfield, Missouri and Allen, Texas before moving back to Harrisonville in 1988. June enjoyed volunteering, crocheting, flower gardening and working on word puzzles. June had crocheted 10 to 12 afghans a year, some of which she donated to the CMC Gift Shop to raise money for Auxiliary's projects. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Denzel Limpus on November 28, 1989; two brothers, Wesley E. and Alva W. Mullen.
She is survived by a son, Dennis Limpus and wife Marilynn, Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Lana Beard and husband, Phillip, Plano, Texas, four grandchildren; Derek, Darin, Doug and Mandy; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial at the Crescent Hill Cemetery near Adrian, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the CMC Auxiliary or First Christian Church Memorial Fund.
