Karen Gayle Kenagy

Karen Gayle Kenagy of Butler, Missouri was born September 20, 1952 in Evansville, Indiana the daughter of Douglas LeRoy and Julia Laverne (Wicks) Bright. She departed this life on Friday, August 12, 2016 at her home surrounded by love and family at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 23 days.
On December 27, 1987, Karen was united in marriage to Michael Kenagy in Kansas City, Missouri
Karen, along with her husband, owned and operated Action Carpet Cleaning. She was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Karen loved to cook, dance and her dogs. She had lived in Sugar Creek, Kansas and Archie, Missouri before moving to Butler.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Micheal Kenagy; two sons, Michael George Kingman and Chris Kingman; a sister, Joan Diane Pearson.
Karen is survived by three granddaughters, Britney, Kylee and Mariah Kingman; three step-children, Jeremy Kenagy, Jason Kenagy and Demi Kenagy; five sisters, Faye Bright Bailey, Nashville, Tennessee, Linda Carole French, Cerritos, California, Lana Bright, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Anna Denise Bright-Mullen, Lakeview, California, Sharon Wheats, Butler, Missouri; her companion, Les Fenton of the home; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in Clearfork Cemetery near Garden City, Missouri.

Final arrangements entrusted to Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
