Ken Poisal

Ken Poisal of Creighton, MO was born on March 29, 1971, to Kenneth and Gladys Poisal. He departed this life suddenly on May 17, 2023, at St. Lukes Medical Plaza. He lived all of his life near Creighton, MO graduating from Sherwood High School in 1989.

Immediately after high school Ken began a career laying tile and has spent nearly 35 years in this trade currently working for Metro Tile.

Ken purchased the Smith Farm north of Creighton where he raised his children. Eight years ago his fiancé Cherie Mantzey joined him and they have enjoyed their lives together on the farm.

Ken spent a lot of his time sitting on bleachers, horses, and tractors; helping friends and family; and an occasional float trip.

Ken was preceded in death by his father in 2020.

Ken is survived by his fiancé Cherie Mantzey of the home, one son Dustin Poisal, Belton, Missouri, one daughter Kaylee Poisal, Sedalia, Missouri, Ricky Hernandez (Cherie’s son), mother Gladys Poisal, sister Georgia (Rob) Mandl, nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins, and many friends.

To honor the deceased wishes, no formal service will be scheduled.
