Kenneth Lindley Gregg of Creighton, Missouri was born March 13, 1916 near Creighton the son of Edgar Leroy and Ethel Pearl (Martin) Gregg. He departed this life Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 92 years and 23 days.
On September 2, 1938, Kenneth was united in marriage to Dorothy Lee Stewart in Clinton, Missouri.
Kenneth was named manager of the Union L.P. Gas, Co. in Creighton in 1965 until his retirement on September 31, 1981 and had formerly owned and operated Creighton Oil Company from 1959 to 1965. He had also been employed as a meat cutter at Kropf's Locker Plant, Creighton, as a carpenter and was with Westinghouse Aviation and the Missouri Public Service, Co. Kenneth was a member and Elder at the Creighton Christian Church, a charter member of the Creighton Lions Club in 1959 and had served the Creighton Community as a volunteer fireman. He loved his garden and farming and was a lifelong Creighton resident.
Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie, Carl and Harold and a sister, Frances Helms.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Gregg of the home; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Burial will be at the Grant Cemetery near Creighton, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Creighton Christian Church Memorial Fund.
