Kenneth Tee Wilson of Garden City, Missouri was born October 18, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of the Roy Wilson and Dessie Mae (Perkins) Wilson. He departed this life Saturday, February 25, 2006, Saint Joseph Health Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 7 days.
On, August 13, 1949 Kenneth was united in marriage to Ida Margaret McClelland in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kenneth was employed as a truck driver for Chief Freight Line, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in the early 70's. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the 167th Infantry Division in the Asiatic Pacific Theater; a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church, Garden City; Teamsters Local 41, Kansas City, Missouri. Kenneth enjoyed playing golf with his twin brother, Kennerd, watching wrestling on T.V. and western movies. He had lived in Kansas City, Adrian and Butler, Missouri before moving to Garden City in 1982.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ida on April 27, 1987; a granddaughter; his brother, Kennerd and a sister, Gladys Phillips.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth W. Wilson and wife, Lola, Hohenwald, Tennessee, Dan K. Wilson and wife, Joyce, Emporia, Kansas, Gene Wilson and wife, Kathy, Primm Springs, Tennessee; a daughter, Iva M. Fossett, Grain Valley, Missouri; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Roberta Williams, Garden City, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City. Graveside Military services were under the direction of the Harrisonville Honor Guard, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the New Covenant Fellowship Memorial Fund, Garden City, Missouri.
