October 16, 1964 was a beautiful fall day in New Underwood, South Dakota. A gorgeous baby girl was born to Donald Spence and Luann (Kleinschmit) Spence, and they named her Kimberly Marie. The Spence family moved in 1970 from South Dakota to Ponca City OK where Kim attended school and graduated from PO-HI in 1983.

Kim moved to Kansas City in 1986 and began working at Sprint. The next few years her family grew with the births of Andrea and Dillon. The family located to Harrisonville in 1997 where the kids completed school and started their own lives. Andrea and Dillon both blessed Kim with the greatest gift ever.... being called grandma by Anthony, Jaycee, Cannon, and Birdee. Kim loved to spoil them, spend lake time together, and cheer them on at their sporting events.

Kim married Greg Worley September 3, 2016 at their Pomme de Terre lake house. They spent their time remodeling their home and spending as much time as possible at the lake house. Kim would find some old piece of junk and Greg would create a light fixture, shelf, or whatever Kim wanted from it. She always had a project to do or something she thought of for Greg to create. Kim treasured having a good time with large family gatherings and valued the weekend getaways. Vacation time was spent traveling anywhere there was a beach beginning with their honeymoon to Florida and continued forward. Their last trip was taking the family to Disney World

Her career with Sprint continued until she retired in 2021 after 35 years. She worked in the Payroll and Human Resources departments at the world headquarters. While there, she enlarged her circle of friends, and many are considered extended family.

Those left with cherished memories are mother Luann Spence, husband Greg Worley, children Andrea Anthony and Dillon Anthony, stepson Michael Worley, grandchildren Anthony Coffelt, Jaycee Saling, Cannon and Birdee Anthony. Kim's siblings Roxann Cool (Brad), Lance Spence (Virginia) Gary Rupp (Karen) and Shane Spence (Jessica). She leaves behind nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Kim immensely. Numerous friends who shared times with love, laughter, and will always lift a "red beer" to Kimmie.

Family that welcomed Kim to Heaven are her Dad, Donald Spence, Nephews Blake Cool, Curtis Spence, Grandparents Frank & Shandon Kleinschmit.

Kim had an enormous and generous heart. Her wish was that donations be made in her name to St Croix Hospice, or to ALS Association and send in care to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
