L. Marie Bunch

October 25, 1925 — April 30, 2018

Loretta Marie Bunch, 92, of Belton, was born, October 25, 1925, in Stockton, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur (Artie) and America (Williamson) Sudduth. She departed this life, Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Carnegie Village Senior Living Community.

Marie was a 1943 Raymore High School graduate.

On December 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to James Jarrott Bunch, Jr. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2014.

Marie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Belton. She loved cooking, crocheting, and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Marie was also preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Arnold Sudduth, Calvin Sudduth, Dewey Sudduth, Ellis Sudduth, Lawrence Sudduth, Lavern Sudduth, Leo Sudduth, and Norman Sudduth; and two sisters, Anna Alvine and Lottie Young.

She is survived by one son James Jarrott (and Shirley) Bunch, III of Spiro, Oklahoma; two daughters, Dian Marie (and Lawrence) Neugebauer of Belton, and Vicki Lynne (and Greg) Lueck of Grandview; 8 grandchildren James D. (and Michelle) Neugebauer of Belton, Bryan L. (and Trisha) Lueck of Belton, Jacquelyn D. (and Andy) Phillips of Lone Jack, Brandon J. (and Olivia) Lueck of Olathe, Jimmy D. Bunch of Bokoshe, Oklahoma; Michael W. (and Brenda) Bunch of Pocola, Oklahoma, Rhonda J. Wieche of St. Louis, and Charles (and Angela) Bunch of Spiro, Oklahoma; 16 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pastor Mike Bunch will officiate. Casket bearers are Brandon Lueck, Bryan Lueck, Greg Lueck, Larry Neugebauer, James Neugebauer, and Audrey Phillips.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kansas City Alzheimer’s Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
