Larry D. Cooper

Larry Dean Cooper of Adrian, Missouri formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 22, 1947 in Lexington, Missouri the son of James Pleasant and Bertie Ellen (Bowlen) Cooper. He departed this life on Monday, February 27, 2023 at his home at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 5 days.

On June 4, 1966 Larry was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Coms in Greenwood, Missouri.

Larry was employed in the maintenance department for American Stair-Glide in Grandview, Missouri before his retirement. He enjoyed his family, the outdoors, playing golf and going hunting.  Larry especially enjoyed going to all his grandchildren sporting events. He had lived in Brookfield and Albany, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville and later on to Adrian, Missouri.

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley on November 23, 2004; his daughter, Stacy Humbird on July 3, 2019, a brother, Earl Cooper; a sister, Kathleen Carter. 

Larry is survived by his son, Loni Copper, Harrisonville, Missouri; a son-in-law, Rusty Humbird, Archie, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Jake (Maddie) and Christian Copper, Ty, Lani and Miles Humbird; 2 brothers, Carl Cooper, Darlington, Missouri, Jay W. Cooper, Marceline, Missouri; 3 sisters, Norma Amer, North Kansas City, Missouri, Brenda Totty, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Lorna Woodside, Purdin, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends. 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with internment in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at the funeral home.
