Larry Jay Sanders, of Drexel, Missouri was born December 14, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Perry Marshall and Mildred (Morris) Sanders. He departed this life on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at his home at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 26 days.
On June 19, 1954, Larry was united in marriage to Sharon Lee Snow.
Larry was a licensed plumber and owned and operated Sanders Backhow Service in Peculiar, Missouri until his retirement in 1990. He had lived Peculiar before moving to Drexel.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Sanders on October 25, 2012; three sisters, Juanita Hayden, Bernice Sterling and Mary Jane Penrose.
Larry is survived by four children, Larry Sanders, Hermitage, Missouri, Shari Ismert, Peculiar, Missouri, Rhonda Lovejoy and husband Tim, Archie, Missouri and Mike Sanders and wife Joyce, Drexel, Missouri; 9 grandchildren, Celina, Renee, Sasha, Amanda, Justin, Jessica, Gage, Josie and Colten; and 8 great-grandchildren, Baileigh, Morgan, Chloe, Taryn, Felecia, Gavin, Abbi and Brody; a brother, Perry Lee Sanders, Peculiar, Missouri.
Cremation. A private family inurnment will be held at the West Union Cemetery near Peculiar at a later date.
