Larry Lee Nelson AKA Lar-Bear, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 24, 1966 in Independence, Missouri the son of William Robert Sr. and Anna Belle (Lee) Nelson. He departed this life on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at his home at the age of 55 years, 3 months and 14 days.
Larry was a very kind, loving gentleman with a big heart. He loved the CCCL family, his friends and everyone at Casco Area Workshop. Larry loved Jesus, his bible, attending the Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene and the Sunday School taught by Janet Stultz. He enjoyed drinking milk whether it was white or chocolate, eating snacks and cereal, pizza, McDonalds, seeing lawn mowers, wearing silly hats, wet sloppy head kisses and watching ME TV station and all the old shows.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Bob Nelson and his best friends, Robert Farmer.
Larry is survived by his mother, Anna Nelson, Raytown, Missouri; a sister, Pamela Jackson and husband Matt, Raytown, Missouri; a brother, David Nelson and wife Tracy, Independence, Missouri; 4 nephews; 3 nieces; several great-nephews and nieces; his 2nd mom, Stephanie Collins of the home; all of his CCCL family and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Salem Cemetery, Independence, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the funeral home.
The CCCL family is asking anyone that wants to participate to wear a hat to the service to honor Larry.
