Larry L. Zoellers

Larry LeeRoy Zoellers of Garden City, Missouri was born October 30, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Leroy Frances and Gertie Elizabeth (Eskridge) Witherspoon.  He departed this life on Saturday, December 24, 2022 surrounded by love and family at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 24 days. 

On December 5, 1969 Larry was united in marriage to Alice Depew in Belton, Missouri.

Larry was employed for over 30 years as a truck driver for Groendyke Transport Company, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in 2011. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and Raymore, Missouri before moving to Garden City.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. 

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by an infant son and his brother, Carl Vernon Taylor. 

Larry is survived by his wife, Alice D. Zoellers of the home; a son Shawn Zoellers and his fiancé, Christina Smith, Garden City, Missouri; 2 grandchildren, Thomas Aiden Zoellers and Sophie Smith; two sisters, Betty Denyer, Montrose, Missouri and Joyce Lang, Oak Grove, Missouri; nieces, nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Garden City Community Building, Garden City, Missouri.
