Linda Lou Pennington

Linda Lou Pennington, of Peculiar, Missouri was born October 30, 1943, in Garden City, Missouri the daughter of Lawrence Willis and Wilma Ailene (Bell) Helmuth. She departed this life on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by love and family at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 9 days.

On November 8, 1968, Linda was united in marriage to Thomas Raymond Pennington in Grandview, Missouri.

Linda was employed as a clerk for the United States Department of Agriculture Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement in 1999. She was a lifelong area resident. Linda enjoyed shopping, camping, traveling, fishing, and being outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda is survived by her husband, Tom Pennington of the home; a son, Lawrence Pennington, Harrisonville, Missouri; two daughters Deborah Pono, of Austin, Texas; and Sandra Carlson, Fort Worth, Texas; a sister Vicky Trieb, Seattle, Washington; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.


The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clearfork Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
