Lloyd Joseph Ring of Harrisonville, Mo. was born October 20, 1916 in Baird, Neb. the son of Adolph Joseph and Hattie Ethel (Kersey) Ring. He departed this life Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 21 days.
In 1934 Lloyd was united in marriage to Claudine Clark and later married Doris Mae Brown on May 14, 1946 in Walla Walla, Wa.
Lloyd owned and operated G & J Drywall in Cody, Wy. until his retirement in 1980. Lloyd attended Crossroads Assembly of God Church, Harrisonville. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting. Lloyd had lived in Idaho and Cody, Wy. before moving to Harrisonville in 2001.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter; 2 brothers, Ellary and George; 2 sisters, Letha and Marie and his first wife, Claudine.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Ring of the home; 3 sons, Lavon Ring and wife, Sandra, Casa Grande, Az., Gerald L. Ring and wife, Carla, Michael J. Ring and wife, Sherry all of Garden City, Mo.; a daughter, Helen Frost and husband, Lyle, Nampa, Id.; 14 grandchildren; 36 gt-grandchildren; 28 gt-gt grandchildren; a brother, Clifford Ring, Emmett, Id.; other relatives and many friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Southern Care Hospice.
