Mrs. Velma Louise Hendrickson of Garden City, Missouri was born May 10, 1928 in Powell, Missouri the daughter of Otis Benjamin and Mamie Belle (Boles) Johnson. She departed this life Monday, April 2, 2007 at her home in Garden City at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 22 days.
On June 25, 1960, Louise was united in marriage to Robert Erwin Hendrickson in Belton, Missouri.
Louise and her husband, Bob were Co-Owner's of Grand Valley Pipe, Company, Urich, Missouri until her retirement in 1999. She was also a homemaker and had been a caretaker for several individuals. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Belton, Missouri. Louise enjoyed politics and had campaigned for Ronald Reagan. She had been a former leader in the Pleasant Prairie 4-H Club near Belton and taught sewing. Louise liked the outdoors, her garden and fishing. She had lived near Peculiar, Missouri before moving to Urich, Missouri and to Garden City in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Bob of the home; a son Duane Passeau and wife, Joyce, Peculiar, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jennifer Gingrich and husband Guy and Derrick Passeau; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Erik; two brothers, Norman Johnson, Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Dale Johnson, Carl Junction, Missouri; a sister, Doyle Loncarich, Wyandotte, Oklahoma; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Pleasant Prairie Baptist Church, Belton, Missouri with burial in the Belton Cemetery.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation.
