Mrs. Louise Ann Pruitt age 81 of Peculiar, Missouri went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012 surrounded by loving family.
She was born on January 6, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Anthony and Julia Golubski.
On October 13, 1951, Louise was united in marriage to Oakley R. Pruitt at Camp Chaffie, Arkansas.
Louise was a proud homemaker of a loving home raising six children. She was a very dedicated mother to her children. Louise loved flowers of all kinds and enjoyed planting them and taking care of them. She also loved to crochet and quilt and made every child and grandchild their own lovingly made quilt. Louise also loved to cook and make homemade cobblers and Polish Nut Bread. It was always a treat and a blessing to eat at her and Oakley’s table.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by infant son Robert Ray Pruitt; a brother Anthony Golubski Jr.; a brother-in-law, William McMahon.
Louise is survived by her husband Oakley Ray Pruitt of the home, four daughters and one son, Linda Ford, Peculiar, Missouri, Darlene Ahner, Belton, Missouri, Kathleen Curtis and husband Kelly, Brenda Reinholdt and husband Roger, and Thomas Pruitt and wife Ruby all of Peculiar, Missouri; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. two brothers and one sister, Edward Golubski and wife Ann, Paola, Kansas, Clarence Golubski and wife Barbara, Kansas City, Missouri and Betty McMahon, Overland Park, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Mass was held Friday, October 12, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Graveside services were held Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
