Marilyn Edwards, 47, Holden, died Thursday, August 25, 2011. She was born on August 7, 1964, to George and Helen Roskop.
Marilyn was married to Bob Edwards on November 5, 1988. To this union, 2 children were born, Eric Wayne and Kelly Ann.
Marilyn was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She loved attending children’s sporting events and caring for her beloved dogs and hummingbirds.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; her son, Eric, Holden; her mother, Helen Roskop, Garden City; 7 siblings, Karen (Gene) McNeely, Janie (Daryl) Pennock, Sharon (Mark) Roskop, Gary (Karen) Roskop, Sandy (Steve) Phillips, Cheryl Roskop, and Debbie Roskop. Marilyn is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Martha Edwards, Garden City; sister-in-laws, Cindy Edwards, Peculiar, and Teresa (Robert) Porter, Belton; grandparents-in-law, Urless and Dorothy Lacy, Belton; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Ann; her father, George Roskop; 2 infant sisters; a sister-in-law, Laurie Jackson; a nephew, Patrick Roskop; and a niece, Melissa Ann Pennock.
Family received friends Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Heart Of Life Baptist Church, Garden City, Missouri.
A Graveside service was held Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in the Blairstown Cemetery, Blairstown, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Marilyn and Kelly Edwards Memorial Fund.
