Martha Agnes Woodring of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 23, 1923 near Freeman, Missouri the daughter of Samuel Alexander “Alex” and Margie Cathryn (Nelson) Winchel. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Vitas Hospice Care, Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 15 days.
Martha was united in marriage to Keith Milam, Harold Kates and Ellis Woodring.
Martha was employed as a machinist for IMCO Containers in Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Peculiar, Missouri. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, gardening, doll collecting and going to local dances. Martha will be remembered by her family as a good and giving mother and family always came first. She had lived in Kansas City and Peculiar, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Keith, Harold and Ellis; four brothers and seven sisters.
Martha is survived by a son, Keith Lewis Milam and wife, Nancy, Raytown, Missouri; two daughters, Frances L. McDonald and husband, Linness and Carolyn Schubert all of Harrisonville, Missouri; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Margie Barr, Peculiar, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Wills Cemetery near Peculiar, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice.
