Mary Ann S. Wunder

Mary Ann S. Wunder age 72 of Cleveland Missouri, passed away January 11, 2008 at Research Belton Hospital, Belton, Mo. Mary Ann was born on March 9, 1935, in Kansas City Missouri the daughter of Stanley Walter and Mildred A. (Rogge) Jurgeson. She moved to Cleveland Missouri in 1966. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1953 and entered into marriage with John C. Wunder Jr. on August 29, 1953 in Kansas City, Mo. Only someone who has been there can know the void she has left in the lives of her husband of 54 years 3 months and 15 days, her four children, their spouses and her grandchildren.
Mary Ann was grandma to all of the children of her children, and to every child who warmed to a smile filled with love. She left it to her husband to instill drive, teach competitiveness, and learn the ways of the world, but took to her self the job of teaching humility, generosity and gratitude for what was given to her by the Lord.
She was the bridge connecting the people she loved and made of them a family. Her greatest hope was that her family would continue to love one another as she loved them, and though separated by time and distance, would always show the love and support she so freely gave to them.
She is survived by : husband John C. Wunder Jr. of the home, three sons: Gary Lee Wunder and wife, Debbie, Columbia, Mo., John C. Wunder III ""Jay"", Belton, Mo., Mark W. Wunder, wife Tina, Freeman, Mo.; one daughter Theresa A. Hawkins, husband Michael, Cleveland, Mo. and Grandson Keith A. Wunder; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley W. ""Bud"" Jurgeson, Kansas City, Mo., Ronnie L. Jurgeson, Raleigh, N.C.; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Missouri.
Family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial fund.
