Mary Glenn Gregg of Creighton, Missouri was born on November 5, 1942, in Hamilton, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Ellen Goodman Farr. She departed this life on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Adair Village in Clinton, Missouri surrounded by family and friends at the age of 82 years, 1 month, and 3 days.

On May 19, 1961, Mary was united in marriage to Ira Richard Gregg on the family farm near Creighton. They were married for 49 years when Richard passed away in July 2010.

Mary was a former waitress, cook, and farmer’s wife. She was a member of the Creighton Baptist Church. Mary spent most of her life as a Creighton resident, attending Creighton School. She was an excellent cook, waitress, mom, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She wore a smile that lit up any room she was in. She was a caretaker; always helping someone any way she could.

Besides her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Ira Richard Gregg, her son Martin Lee Gregg, great-granddaughter Emery Pearl Wilson, sister Nelly Eldrige, brother Joe Farr, brother-in-law and sister Donald Gene and Peggy Gregg.

Mary is survived by her daughter Linda Gregg of Creighton, son Richard Lee (Rick) and wife Jodie Gregg of Fairplay, Missouri; five grandsons Levi Schrock and wife Cassie, Issac Wilson and wife Jenny, Chance Wilson, Steven Gregg and Robbie Thomas; and granddaughter Addie; three great-granddaughters Karsyn, Jaylen, and Kinzlee; one great-grandson Cooper, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and family and adopted kids who called her mom and grandma. She will be sadly missed.

Cremation with a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sherwood Community Center, Creighton, Missouri and send in care to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
