Mrs. Mary Lee Dabbs, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born January 8, 1930 in Spruce, Missouri the daughter of Thomas Lee and Nettie Odela (Carter) Atkins. She departed this life Monday, December 26, 2011 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 18 days.
On December 30, 1949, Mary was united in marriage to Eugene P. Dabbs in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, doing crafts, traveling and playing card games. Mary had lived in Harrisonville since 1981 before moving to Garden City, Missouri and then back to Harrisonville in 2008.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Mae Atkins.
Mary is survived by her husband, Eugene P. Dabbs of the home; three sons, Robert Dabbs and wife Cheryl, Joplin, Missouri, Thomas Dabbs and wife Kathy, Trimble, Missouri, Ronald Dabbs and wife Donna, Grain Valley, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
