Mary Louise Puckett of Harrisonville, Missouri was born September 24, 1936 in Tuscumbia, Missouri the daughter of Aubrey W. and Artie Gladys (Shackleford) Vaughan. She departed this life on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville surrounded by love and family at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 2 days.
On September 24, 1965, Mary was united in marriage to J.H. Puckett in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mary was employed as an inspector for ConAgra Foods in Omaha, Nebraska until her retirement. At an early age she joined the First Christian Church, Eldon, Missouri. She enjoyed her family, a strong faith in God, reading her bible and crossword puzzles.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Samantha Sherman; a brother, James; her sister-in-law, Rachel; a niece and nephew, Debra and Fredrick Vaughan.
Mary is survived by her husband, J.H. Puckett of the home; two sons, James R. Kelly and wife, Cheryl, Harrisonville, Missouri, Aubrey J. Puckett, Reno, Nevada; three daughters, Iva M. Hibbard and husband, Charles, Reno, Nevada, Sallie Ann Kelly and Jacqueline L. Kelly both of Bellevue, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Robert L. Vaughan, Greenridge, Missouri; Lois Duncan, Eldon, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Cremation with inurnment at the Scotts Cemetery, Tuscumbia, Missouri at a later date.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Mary L. Puckett Memorial Fund, c/o Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432 Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
