Mrs. Mary Margaret Brady age 79 of Peculiar, Missouri went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 surrounded with love and family at Foxwood Springs Living Center, Raymore, Missouri at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 16 days. She was born on November 16, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Raymond F. and Margaret Regina (Fischer) Rupp.
On February 12, 1956, Mary was united in marriage to George W. Brady Jr. in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mary was first a homemaker and a career military wife. She was also employed as a data transcriber for the Marine Corp Finance Center, Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement in 1995. Mary was a member and a Eucharist Minister at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri, a member of NARFE, the Smart Mohawks Camping Club and Hitchhiker Camping Club. Mary had served as a volunteer dispatcher for the West Peculiar Fire Protection District for 12 years. She had lived in South Kansas City before moving to Peculiar in 1986.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph; a brother, Raymond Rupp Jr. and two infant brothers; a sister, Martha Rupp.
Mary is survived by her husband, George W. Brady Jr. of the home; two sons, Michael G. Brady, Fredericksburg, Virginia; James R. Brady and wife Angie, Greenwood, Missouri; three daughters, Margaret E. Humphreys and husband Bob, Olathe, Kansas; Regina M. Lust, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; Kathleen C. Myers, Peculiar, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica and husband Armand, Sarah and husband Vic, Brett, Brandi, Jacob, Taylor, Austin; two great grandchildren; sister Cecila Sava and husband Steve, Hot Springs, Arkansas, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Mass was held Monday, October 8, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside services were held Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Community Hospice.
