Mary Sue Gentry beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 3, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Willis G. and Mildred E. (Richards) Tanner. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 54 years, 4 months and 3 days.
In 1981, Mary was united in marriage to Burl Gentry in Brookline Park, Minnesota.
Mary was employed as a quality inspector for Absolute Machinery, Harrisonville, Missouri for the past 15 years. She was a 1973 graduate of Anoka High School, Anoka, Minnesota. Mary had a great love for her family, was an accomplished artist and was an avid reader. She had moved to Harrisonville in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willis and a sister, Cynthia Tanner.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Gentry, Peculiar, Missouri; two daughters, Sarah E. Gentry, Clinton, Missouri, Jaclyn B. Gentry, Peculiar, Missouri; two grandchildren, Gavin Gentry and Madeline Gentry; her mother, Mildred Tanner, Andover, Minnesota; three brothers, Joseph Tanner, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, Tim Tanner, Pine River, Minnesota, Corey Tanner, Otesgo, Minnesota; three sisters, Patricia Thompson, Blaine, Minnesota, Kathy Breiwick, East Bethel, Minnesota, Laurie Tanner, Andover, Minnesota; other relatives and many friends. Memorial services were held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
