Mayda Witt

Mayda June Carroll Witt, of Freeman, Missouri, was born May 25, 1946 in Alamosa, Colorado, the daughter of Kenneth and Bernice (Rassmussen) Carroll. She departed this life Friday, February 29th, 2008, at Research Belton Hospital, Belton, Missouri at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 4 days. June was a Special Education School Teacher for the Raymore-Peculiar School District until her retirement in 2003. She loved to garden, growing flowers and vegetables, being outside and watching birds and butterflies. June had lived near Freeman for the past 33 years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Martin. She is survived by three sons, Jasen Ray Westenburg and Judsen Lane Westenburg both of Independence, Missouri, Sterling Ajay Witt, Freeman, Missouri; a daughter, Jamey Raydene MacLean, Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren, Paige MacLean and Taylor Michael Westenburg; two sisters, Janice Lewis, Scottsdale, Arizona, Jane Martin, Alamosa, Colorado; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial services were held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
