Miccie Jane Hale

In Loving Memory of: Miccie Jane Hale and Steven Allan Hale

Miccie Jane (Ritch) Hale was born May 27, 1956 to George Lee Ritch and Clara LaVerne (Yarnell) Ritch in Kansas City, MO. Steven Allan Hale was on July 19, 1954, to William E. Hale and Marilyn Nadine (Coffman) Hale. Miccie departed this life on June 14, 2024, and Steve departed this life on November 22, 2021. Steve always told Lauren to bury his heart with Miccie and so today his wish will be honored.

Both Steve and Miccie were proceeded in death by their parents and a sister-in-law, Debbie Hale and Miccie’s sister, Catherine Edmond, California

Steve and Miccie were both lifelong residents of Harrisonville, MO, attending Harrisonville Schools. They worked various jobs before and after they were married including managing an apartment complex in Lee’s Summit. In March 1991, they were overjoyed when they welcomed Lauren Lynnbrooke into the world. Anyone that knew them understood what a blessed addition Lauren was to the Hale family. Through the years after Lauren’s birth, they spent their time fishing all over Cass County and their cabin on the Lake of the Ozarks. Their other passion was traveling around the states showing their daughter the wonders of the National Parks and historic landmarks and their favorite destination, Branson, MO. Traveling there on numerous occasions.

Miccie and Steve are survived by Lauren Hocker and husband Kurtis of the home; Step-Granddaughter Sydney Hocker of Archie, MO; Darrell Hale (Diana) of Raymore, MO; Gary Hale of Garden City, MO; Ronnie Hale (Linda) and Jim Hale of Harrisonville, MO and several nieces and nephews, with too many friends to even attempt to count.

Steve Hale will be remembered as quiet, funny, with an unapologetic look on life and his love and devotion to his wife and his daughter.

Miccie Hale will be remembered for her “short” 3 hour phone calls, her unique humor that never failed to get a laugh and her devotion to her husband and her daughter.

They were loved by many and will be missed by anyone who ever had the good fortune to know them.
