Nancy Ann Nevils

Mrs. Nancy Ann Nevils of Kansas City, Missouri was born January 25, 1942 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Emmett and Gertrude (Keagle) Durand. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 24 days.
On, March 22, 1964 Nancy was united in marriage to Elwyn Kent ?Butch? Nevils in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Nancy was a homemaker. Later, she was employed as a bank teller for Valley View Bank, Kansas City. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church, Belton, Missouri and a former member of East Lynne Baptist Church, East Lynne, Missouri. Nancy enjoyed being a mother and grandmother to her family and traveling. She had lived in Denver before moving to Kansas City in the 1960?s and to Harrisonville in 1963 and then moving back to Kansas City in 1998.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Butch on January 16, 1995.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel K. Nevils, Houston, Texas, Aaron D. Nevils and wife, Melissa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; her daughter, Rachel Nevils, Kansas City, Missouri; three granddaughters, Emily, Elena and Erica; two brothers, Richard and Theodore Durand both of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Mary Wood, Billings, Montana; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial at the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the International Mission Board, Work of Aaron Nevils or to the South Haven Baptist Church, Belton, Missouri.
