Norma Walker

Norma Carroll Walker, 73 of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born July 11, 1940, in McFall, Missouri, the daughter of Robert A. and Clara Deloris (Dilley) Fanning. She departed this life February 18, 2014, at her son’s home near Pleasant Hill.
Norma was a 1958 St. Joseph Lafayette High School graduate.
On November 6, 1959, she was united in marriage to James F. Walker, Sr. in St. Joseph. He survives but they are no longer married.
Norma owned and operated the Quisenberry Feed Store near Pleasant Hill, but most of her life she was a homemaker. She also raised horses, both Arabian and Appaloosa.
In her spare time she enjoyed her horses, spending time at the lake and time with her family.
Norma was preceded in death by her brother Robert J. Fanning.
She is survived by two sons, James F. (and Anita) Walker, Jr. of Creighton, and John F. (and Laura Howie) Walker of Pleasant Hill; one daughter Vicki L. (and Phil) Carter of Pleasant Hill; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Reverend Tony Reynolds will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers are Russell Mapes, Richard Nading, Toby Vaughn, James Walker, Jr., James Walker, III, and John Walker. Honorary casket bearers are Brian Delp and Scott Delp.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
