Norman Louis Luther of Harrisonville, Missouri was born September 13, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Homer Louis and Vera LaVern (Harris) Luther. He departed this life Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Research Belton Hospital, Belton, Missouri at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 18 days.
Norman was employed in wire assembly for the Anaconda Wire and Rope, Harrisonville, Missouri for 20 years until the plant closed in 1985. He was employed in various other jobs until he received disability in 1995. He received Christ as his Savior in September of 2005. Everyone knew Norman by his red pickup truck. He was always there if you needed him or he would call just to say hi. Norman adopted Georgia Turner's children and grandchildren and said that this was the closest it was to having his own. Norman had lived in Garden City, Springfield and in the Austin Community near Archie, Missouri with his father until moving to Harrisonville in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
