Ola Stubbs, 94, of Cleveland, MO went in peace to meet her Lord and Savior, May 29, 2013.
The world was blessed with Ola’s birth September 7, 1918 and she married her love, Bill Stubbs in 1938 in West Plains, MO.
Ola loved her family and her life was consumed by her children Walt, Ruby, Billy, Mary, Gary, Peggy, and Rick. Ola’s goal in life was to make the best loving home for her family. With Ola’s strong will, she built a new home for her family, board by board, in West Plains and after a few years was able to purchase a home in Kansas City creating more opportunities for her children to succeed in their life goals.
Along with Ola’s love for her family was her love for quilting. Her beautiful work was envied by all. She had quite a green thumb, growing beautiful roses year after year. And she was proudly baptized in January 2013.
Preceded in Ola's death is her husband Bill Stubbs, her parents Henry Press and Martha Collins, her daughter Mary Greer, 3 grandsons Michael, Jeremy, and Steven Stubbs, and 1 great grandson Brandon Schons.
Ola is survived by her son and daughter in-laws Walter and Earlene Stubbs, Billy and Sheila Stubbs, Gary and Cyndi Stubbs, Rick and Nita Stubbs; and her daughters and son in-laws Ruby and Larry Higginbotham and Peggy and Frank Taylor. Ola was furthermore, survived by her sister Flora Sanders, 21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with Burial in the Freeman Cemetery.
