Orlo Eugene ?Chuck? Walton of Garden City, Missouri was born November 25, 1921 the son of John William and Hettie Ethel (Law) Walton. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Camden Health Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 16 days.
In 1958, Chuck was united in marriage to Joyce Hufnagel in Miami, Oklahoma.
Chuck was employed as an insurance appraiser for Auto Damage Appraisers, Kansas City, Missouri for 47 years until his retirement in 1995. He will be remembered for his love of family, raising horses and playing the banjo. Chuck raised and showed Champion German Shepherds and had ran for Mayor for Kansas City, Kansas in 1979. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Walton on June 5, 2008; a brother, J.W. Walton and a sister, Naomi Houston.
Chuck is survived by two sons, Brian Walton and wife, Tina, Garden City, Missouri, Blaine Walton, Plano, Texas; a daughter, Jessie Hoskins and husband, John, Shawnee, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Gail Walton, Overland Park, Kansas; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services were held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Garden City Meals on Wheels.
