Patti Jeanne Jarrett, 85, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at home in the Ballard community. She was born May 25, 1935 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Arthur and Bertha Morris.
She graduated salutatorian from Springfield Central High School in 1953. She was employed by Thieme-Hunt Abstract, Foodtown, Parson Ammunition Plant, Allen Bank and Trust, UMB Hickman Mills, and Boatmen’s Bank. She retired from banking in 1990 to work fulltime in the family business, Mod & Fab in Harrisonville, MO.
Mrs. Jarrett was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisonville and a member of FBC’s Glory Builders Class. She was a Rainbow Girl and a member of the Grand Cross of Color. Mrs. Jarrett was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 52 years. She was a Past Matron of Bayard Chapter 179 OES, Harrisonville, Past Matrons Club of Pleasant Hill, and also a Past Worthy High Priestess of White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a grandson, Miles Thomas in 2009, and her beloved husband of 40 years, Eugene “Gene” Jarrett in 2015.
Mrs. Jarrett is survived by her three sons, Mike Thomas and wife Missy of Kearney, Mark Thomas and wife Kathy of Belton, and Sam Jarrett and wife Cindy of Urich, one daughter, Michelle Foreman of Branson, five step-children, Sandy Cornine and husband Tim of Marshall, Marie Freeze and husband Mark of Greenfield, Marshall Jarrett of Stockton, Kenny Jarrett of Stockton, Becky and husband Bill of Creighton, 17 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jane Minor and husband Bob of Salmon, Idaho and Kathy Reschke and husband Leon of Springfield, and many other relatives, friends, and her special Star buddies.
Visitation for Mrs. Jarrett will be held at Dickey Funeral Home in Harrisonville on Monday, July 6 at 6:00 PM; Eastern Star service will begin at 7:00 with funeral services immediately following.
Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn North Cemetery in Springfield on Wednesday, July 8 at 11:00 AM.
