Paul E. Peterson, 52 of Garden City, MO was born January 31, 1960 in Osceola MO the son of Marjorie L. Peterson. He departed this life on Monday September 24, 2012 in a farm accident at his home in Garden City, MO.
Paul was a 1978 graduate of Raytown High School, Raytown, MO.
On June 17, 2005 he was united in marriage to Sherry Lynn Kohler in Garden City, MO.
Paul was a devoted and loving husband, best friend, and life partner.
Paul worked for YRC Freight for 25 years as a driver and was a member of Teamsters Local #41. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, building projects, being with family and traveling with Sherry.
Paul was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Edgar & Vera Peterson of Osceola, MO, his Paternal Grandparents Andrew and Ruth Zink Appleton City, MO and his uncle Edgar Duane Peterson Kansas City, MO.
Paul is survived by his wife Sherry of the Home, Step Son Cheyenne Kohler and Judy, and grandson Cody Kohler, Kokomo, IN. His parents, Stanley and Marjorie Zink of Appleton City, MO; one brother, Jerry Peterson of Lowry City, MO; one sister Stacy Griffith (Mike) Blairstown, MO nieces Melissa Hallman (Caleb), Stephanie Childress, and Jeri Lynn Peterson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Paul was a kind hearted man that will forever be missed and remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Kidds Chapel Cemetery near Lowery City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Hospital or to the Shriner's Hospital.
