Paul Taylor Leimkuehler

Paul Taylor Leimkuehler of Tightwad, Missouri was born December 5, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Irvin Robert and Ramona (Kirkpatrick) Leimkuehler.  He departed this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Windsor Healthcare & Rehab., Windsor, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 21 days.

Paul was united in marriage to Linda Stanley and later married Christina R. Lacy.

Paul was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Kansas City, Kansas.  Paul attended North Kansas City High School, and while at North Kansas City High School was a starting basketball player. Paul owned and operated several restaurants. Earlier he was a cook for Missouri Valley College, Marshall, MO and the MO Penitentiary in Boonville, MO and later opened a restaurant in Independence and Tightwad. In 1997 he moved to Tightwad and operated a fruit and vegetable stand and restaurant earning the nickname. “Tall Paul”.  Paul’s biggest enjoyment was watching WWE wrestling, talking to his brother, Ray and spending time with his family. A special time was spent going to the beach with his family in 2020.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona, his father, Irvin and step-mother, Mildred; his daughter, Tracy Lea Williams and a grandson, Jeramy Williams.

Paul is survived by 2 sons, Trevor Leimkuehler (Danna), Clinton, Missouri; Jerime Leimkuehler (Stephanie), Harrisonville, Missouri; 7 grandchildren, Ashley Keeney (Aaron), LaTeshia and Jaleel Williams, Kaleb, Adison, Brooke, Dalton Leimkuehler; 3 great-grandchildren, Raylee and Gunner Keeney, Canaan Leimkuehler; other relatives and a host of friends.

A Visitation was held 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2023 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. With a brief service following the visitation at 7:00 p.m.. Cremation with Inurnment at Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Marshall, Missouri at a later date.
