Paul Martin Furnell, Baldwin City, Kansas, formerly of Garden City, Missouri was born December 26, 1921 in Edwards, Missouri the son of John Martin and Maggie Dell (Burton) Furnell. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab, Baldwin City at the age of 91 years and 13 days.
On February 19, 1945, Paul was united in marriage to Edith Fay Creach in Belleville, Illinois.
Paul was an electrician for Remington Arms in Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in 1984. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Paul was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ottawa, Kansas.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Furnell on June 13, 1991; a brother, Carl Furnell and a sister, Mildred Gourley.
Paul is survived by three children, Larry Furnell, Plato, Missouri, Linda Hoffman and husband Pete, Edgerton, Kansas, Dale Furnell and wife Linda, Franktown, Colorado; two granddaughters, Melissa Cline and Melanie Hoffman; a grandson, Guy Nusbaum; three great-grandchildren, Ava Madeline Townsend, Joseph and Jessica Cline; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
