Peggy Sue Danahy of Creighton, Missouri was born May 13, 1940 in West Plains, Missouri the daughter of Wendell and Juanita (Hopkins) Mahan. She departed this life on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center, Lee's Summit, Missouri at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 21 days.
On September 6, 1958, Peggy was united in marriage to James Richard Danahy in West Plains, Missouri.
Peggy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sycamore Grove Mennonite Church near Garden City, Missouri. Peggy enjoyed sewing and traveling.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Danahy on December 3, 2001; a great-grandson, Keith Daniel Spinning and a brother, Dwayne Mahan.
Peggy is survived by her two sons, Ron Danahy and wife Nancy, Creighton, Missouri, Patrick Danahy and wife JoAnn, Oak Grove, Missouri; two daughters, Dena Stockman and husband Mike, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Donna Danahy, Kansas City, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Mahan and a sister, Linda Taylor both of West Plains, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside service were held Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Union Hill Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri.
