Mrs. Phyllis Sue Banner of Creighton, Missouri was born March 4, 1937 in Milan, Missouri the daughter of Ray and Eva (Meeks) Shultz. She departed this life on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 7 days.
On November 28, 1958, Phyllis was united in marriage to James Carrol Banner in Kansas City, Missouri. Phyllis was a homemaker. She enjoyed her family, feeding the birds, sewing, crafts, the outdoors and her garden. Phyllis had lived in Grandview, Missouri before moving to Creighton in 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Banner of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Snedeger and husband, Pete, Grandview, Missouri, Brenda Ballard and husband, Chris, Urich, Missouri; two grandchildren, Austin and Amber; a brother, Bill Shultz, Unionville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
A Memorial Visitation was held Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
