Mrs. Reba Jewel Ray of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 6, 1938 in Mountainburg, Arkansas the daughter of Ernest and Minnie Bell (Self) Allen. She departed this life Monday, February 27, 2006 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 21 days.
On, April 26, 1958 Reba was united in marriage to Donald Dean Ray in Kansas City, Missouri.
Reba was employed as an accountant for General Motors Leeds Plant, Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement on September 1, 1991. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend. Reba enjoyed flowers, gardening and music. She had lived in Belton, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2001.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on August 8, 2001.
She is survived by two sons, Perry D. Ray and wife, Rosalie, South Korea, Shawn Ray, Peculiar, Missouri; two daughters, Rachael Ray, Cleveland, Missouri, Rebanna Courter and husband, Leonard, Edgerton, Kansas; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services and interment was held, Friday, March 3, 2006 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemeter, Fair Grove, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Crown Care Center, Harrisonville.
